West Desert (formerly Utah Motorsports Campus)
Between the Oquirrh and Stansbury mountains is the wide basin of the Tooele Valley. Here, visitors will find one of the nation’s premier motorsports facilities. West Desert (formerly Utah Motorsports Campus) has hosted events ranging from the Utah Grand Prix and the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah to the Pirelli World Challenge, AMA Superbike Championship and NASCAR. The track lures racing fans, club racers and families looking for high-speed fun on the Kart Track or during Amateur Track Days. Amateur Track Days (ATD) is a unique program that allows enthusiasts to drive their street or race-prepared car at speed on the world-class racetrack in a non-competitive environment. West Desert also offers Roll Racing at select events, while they do not have a drag strip at the campus, Roll Racing is an alternative type of drag racing in which the cars are already rolling and race down a front stretch. Prices vary by event. Located 30 minutes west of Salt Lake City.

Off-road enthusiasts on the Wasatch Front can hone their skills on one of four separate tracks, with tabletops and banked turns, and options for both advanced and novice motocross riders. In fact, there is a dedicated beginner area and good options for spectator viewing. Jordan River OHV State Recreation Area is open approximately early April to approximately mid-October. Off-Highway motorcycle (OHM) riders will enjoy two motocross (MX) tracks. The novice and grand-prix tracks are open to both OHMs and ATVs.

Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats are home to three annual speed events where racers can go all in with whatever speed device meets their fancy.
