Ski Lessons in Utah
You’re planning your Utah winter vacation and have all the elements covered: travel, lodging, restaurant recommendations, ski school lessons for the kids, activity options for non-ski time, packing lists and ski rental arrangements. But you may omit one important addition that ensures ski and snowboard vacation fun: adult instruction.
Yes, instruction for you. Even if you’ve been skiing or riding every season since you were a kid in ski school, there are benefits to hiring an instructor or joining a group when you’re visiting a mountain or region that’s new to you.
Fortunately, Utah’s 15 resorts offer a range of ski school programs, clinics and guided tours catered to any age, ability and specialty — skiing, snowboarding, Telemark, freestyle, touring and even SnoGo biking.
Finding the Perfect Ski & Snowboard Lessons
Lessons are great for first-timers and skiers and snowboarders looking to refine their skills. You’ll see people from ages two to 60+ learning the ropes with talented ski instructors at all 15 of Utah’s ski resorts. Lessons can be with a group or private, and adaptive ski lessons are also available via recreation programs like Wasatch Adaptive Sports and the National Ability Center (Read: When Turns Are About Adaptability, Not Disability). View the complete list of ski schools in Utah. January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard month, and some resorts offer special discounts.
Skiing in Utah is a distinctive experience combining incredible mountains with The Greatest Snow on Earth®. When you learn to ski better, you’ll be at the top of your game and get the most enjoyment from Utah’s downhill.
"So many skiers and snowboarders get stuck at a certain level...lessons can address issues or unlock fears that open up incredible new experiences."
– Paula Colman, "8 Reasons Why Ski School Is Cool"
