Opened in 2014, Cherry Peak is Utah's newest ski area. It is located just 15 miles from Logan, near the Idaho border. The family-owned, nearly 400-acre resort, features three triple chairlifts, a comprehensive snowmaking infrastructure and a 1.25 mile-long run. The resort recently opened a three-story day Grand Lodge that hosts events year-round. Cherry Peak has 29 ski runs, a terrain park with 15 features, tubing, night skiing and ice skating. Where to Stay Near Cherry Peak Resort
With Logan as your base camp, you have access to some very attractive lift prices and a unique mountain. There are more than a dozen lodging choices in Cache Valley, ranging from economy hotels to a bed and breakfast.
Northern Utah showcases an abundance of highly regarded snowmobiling lands, lots of cross-country action and some terrific ice fishing to round out your winter stay in this tranquil, more rural region of the state. But don't let that fool you: Logan is home to a vibrant college-town atmosphere, inclusive of great dining, performing arts and plentiful accommodations.
Get here: Travel about 90 minutes from Salt Lake City or Pocatello, Idaho, to Logan, and then under 30 minutes to the resort.
