Best Time To Ski in Utah
The season generally runs from November to April. For early season deals and a chance to escape the holiday crowds, visit in November and early December. The snowpack is still building, but early storms can offer great skiing. The period from late December through February is considered peak season. If you want to ski without the crowds and with warmer temperatures, spring skiing late March to April is ideal.

Choosing a Ski Resort
Advanced and expert skiers will find a challenge at resorts famous for their deep powder and steep terrain, such as Alta and Snowbird, which are often combined with a single lift ticket. For those who want extensive terrain, Deer Valley, Park City Mountain and Powder Mountain offer a vast network of runs for all abilities, while Solitude lives up to its name with a quieter, less-crowded experience.

How to Get to the Resorts
Once you're here, you can take advantage of the TRAX light rail, UTA ski buses and taxi services to get between the city and the resorts without a vehicle. If you do drive, be prepared for snowy conditions. Traction devices (snow tires or chains) are required in canyons during severe winter weather and all-wheel drive is recommended.

Do you want the convenience of staying slopeside, or do you prefer access to the cultural amenities and nightlife of cities like Salt Lake City, Ogden or Park City? Slopeside will maximize your time on the snow, with a ski-in/ski-out experience. Alternatively, staying in a nearby city provides access to a vibrant culinary and cultural scene, including world-class performing arts, dining and shopping.
