Soldier Hollow is an unparalleled destination for Nordic skiing, tubing, golfing, hiking and snowshoeing. Surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains and tucked into Midway’s foothills, Soldier Hollow rose to fame as host to the 2002 Winter Olympics cross-country skiing and biathlon events. Soldier Hollow Nordic Center will now host biathlon, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, para biathlon and para cross-country skiing for the 2034 Olympics.

Today, the Nordic Center is a training ground for competitive skiers and Olympic hopefuls. But fear not, non-Olympians. The ski trails, tubing hills and golf greens at Soldier Hollow are open to the public. Pair any of these activities with a spin around Midway’s Swiss-inspired town and you’ve got yourself a quiet day trip or magical mountain getaway.

When the snow falls, Soldier Hollow turns into one of Utah’s premier Nordic skiing destinations – and a legacy of the 2002 Winter Olympics. With more than 30 kilometers of groomed trails that wind through open meadows and wooded hillsides, it’s a paradise for classic and skate skiers alike.

Soldier Hollow Nordic Center is home to competitive Nordic skiers and Olympic hopefuls. However, it’s also an open-to-the-public course for beginners and hobbyists, featuring over 20 miles of trails. Trail systems offer gentle slopes for beginners and Olympic-level routes for experts.

Rent classic and skate skis from the Rossignol Demo Center, book a lesson, grab a quick bite to eat at Basecamp Cafe or take home brand-new gear from the Soldier Hollow Nordic Shop. For skiers seeking more time on the snow, Soldier Hollow offers annual passes, ski treadmill technique and fitness training, the Olympic Biathlon Experience and youth development and competition teams. Summer at Soldier Hollow continues the fun with biathlons and rollerskiing.

Beyond Nordic Skiing at Soldier Hollow

Soldier Hollow is a year-round hub for mountain-town fun. Winter brings the bustle of Nordic skiing, tubing, snowshoeing and yurt dining, while warm weather ignites rollerskiing, e-biking, mountain biking, camping and ATV riding. Find your own adventure in Soldier Hollow, no matter the season.

Fairways to Wildflowers: Soldier Hollow in Summer

Built on the mountainside above the quiet town of Midway, Soldier Hollow Golf Course brings mountain golf to new heights. Set against the rolling peaks of the Wasatch Range, this 36-hole facility features two distinct 18-hole courses: the Gold and the Silver.

The Gold Course challenges golfers with elevation changes, long fairways and sweeping valley views, while the Silver Course offers a more forgiving layout for those with less experience. Between shots, take in the meadows and panoramic views of Mount Timpanogos

All-Season Trails: Hiking, Biking & Beyond

When the snow melts, Soldier Hollow transforms into a series of dirt trails for hikers, bikers and outdoor explorers of every kind. The same network that hosts world-class skiing in winter becomes a web of paths trailing through rolling meadows and aspen stands, opening up panoramic views of the Wasatch Mountains and Heber Valley.

Utah’s Longest Tubing Hill: An Epic Ride

Soldier Hollow’s tubing hill provides thrill and adventure, without the exertion. Spanning nearly 1,200 feet in length, it’s the longest tubing hill in Utah. With multiple lanes, a lift to take you back to the top and a breathtaking mountain backdrop, this is snow tubing done right.
