Utah Car Rentals & Shuttles

Renting a car in Utah is usually necessary for road trips, exploring state parks or visiting the remote The Mighty 5® National Parks, as well as for traveling between multiple ski resorts in winter. However, you can skip the rental if you stay in Park City—which offers a free local transit system—or stick to Salt Lake City and nearby Cottonwood Canyon resorts via UTA light rail and ski buses. Alternatively, you can explore the national parks through organized, multi-day guided bus tours operating out of Salt Lake City or Las Vegas.

All major car rental agencies operate offices at the Salt Lake City International Airport, and many have rental desks at major hotels. You can also find rental agencies in many of Utah's larger cities, but Salt Lake City has the greatest selection available. If you plan any off-highway or backroad adventures, a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. RVs and campers are also a great way to see the state.
