The Amphitheatre

Tuacahn’s open-air theater is in the middle of red cliffs and desert landscapes. The rear section of the stage is fully open to expose the incredible scenery and contains lighting, sound, water and pyrotechnical installations. With over 2,000 seats, it can fit nearly twice the audience of most traditional indoor theaters. A show at the outdoor theater is more than just great entertainment — it’s a full-on sensory experience that takes escapism to new heights.

Broadway Musicals at Tuacahn

Tuacahn opened in 1995 with performances showcasing Utah’s pioneer history. After four years, the owners decided to pivot, and in 1999 Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Seven Brides For Seven Brothers became the first two musicals to play there.

Since 1999, Tuacahn has produced a vast list of new, buzzy musicals and beloved classics. The list includes, but is certainly not limited to, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Mamma Mia!, School of Rock, Newsies, Mary Poppins, Grease, The Sound of Music, Hairspray and many, many more.

The Tuacahn Broadway season runs from May to October, with an additional holiday show during November and December. Season packages are available for all five shows, as well as three and two show packages.

The Hafen Theater

The Hafen Theater at Tuacahn Center for the Arts is a temperature-controlled indoor theater that can seat up to 330 people. It was remodeled in 2010 to accommodate more shows and guests. The Hafen is considerably smaller than the outdoor theater. However, it still has the same professional capabilities to support the large-scale Broadway shows and concerts synonymous with Tuacahn.

Concerts and Events

Enjoy your favorite artist or comedian under the stars! Tuacahn Amphitheatre is home to seasonal favorites like Thriller and Christmas in the Canyon, concerts of all genres, tribute performances, comedy shows and symphony performances. Past performances have included comedians like Brian Regan, Larry The Cable Guy and Bill Engvall, and musicians like Kristen Chenoweth, Martina McBride and David Archuleta.
