- Detox Sour Cocktail Recipe
Detox Sour Cocktail Recipe
Restaurant: Post Office Place Bar
Artisan: Crystal Daniels, Post Office Place Bar Manager
About: Crystal Daniels, manager of the bar, wanted to make a cocktail that tastes delicious but also has some positive effects on the body. First, she made a turmeric black pepper honey so the cocktail won't be chalky, while also adding all the anti-inflammatory benefits of turmeric. She used raw local Utah honey to help with allergies and even added apple cider vinegar as the acid component due to its antioxidants and blood pressure lowering capabilities. Daniels explains that many small studies show the vinegar's ability to improve blood sugar and insulin levels for diabetics. This recipe features products from local Waterpocket Distillery.
