Living Planet Aquarium

A distinctive fin-like appendage adds to the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium's "fluid and aquatic feel" and begs exploration. Visitors will instantly recognize the unique building that sits near I-15. Once inside this great Utah aquarium, you'll discover hundreds of species of fish, reptiles and mammals spread across various exhibits and learn of earth’s diverse ecosystems in the nation's ninth-largest aquarium, here in mountainous, landlocked Utah.

  • Visit the Ocean Explorer exhibit and find yourself "under water" as you journey through the 40-foot shark tunnel with sharks, sea turtles and stingrays swimming inches away: through 3.5 inches of a 26,000-pound acrylic tunnel, to be precise.
  • Meet the penguins up close and personal on the Penguin Encounter. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The "Journey to South America" is a transporting walk through an aquatic-themed rainforest ecosystem with 10-foot anacondas, alligators and piranhas.
  • It doesn't end there, as additional ecosystems can be experienced side by side like never before: the Discover Utah aquarium exhibit will you get you up close to some of Utah's treasured wildlife and endangered species, while the Antarctic Adventure takes guests to the distant Falkland Islands ecosystem to experience some very unique research opportunities.
