But there are family-friendly options in SLC as well, so grab your bike and hit the road peddling, there are many miles to be logged.

Wasatch Back

Park City

The town of Park City has a rich silver mining history and an Olympic legacy from hosting many events during the 2002 Winter Games, but as a multi-season road cycling destination, it’s pure gold.

Heber Valley

This picturesque mountain town just outside of Park City is a gateway to some great road biking. The boundless views of Mt. Timpanogos and the Uintas make this a cyclists dreamscape. While there are some family-friendly routes, intermediate and advanced riders will find the most fun here.

Southern Utah

Moab

Moab is a biker’s paradise that conjures up images of sweeping canyons, red sandstone cliffs, and the iconic Delicate Arch. While the area is famous for its amazing mountain biking trails, there are also plenty of road riding options just waiting to be explored.

Kanab

Thanks to its proximity to such gems as Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Zion National Park, and half a dozen other landmarks, Kanab offers tons of road cycling routes for day trippers and multi-day adventure cyclists alike.

St. George

Studded with sprawling mesas and red sandstone cliffs, the countryside surrounding St. George is straight out of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid—literally. So hop in the saddle (on your bike, of course) and get ready to pedal into the sunset to destinations like Zion National Park, Snow Canyon, Red Cliffs, and more.
