The Great Salt Lake

Sailing or just 'floating' are the most popular activities on Utah's Great Salt Lake, the 6th largest lake in the US and 34th largest in the world. With no out-flows, the lake is 4 to 8 times saltier than the ocean. Antelope Island State Park, has a marina and beaches. Another marina, primarily for sailboats, is located at Great Salt Lake State Marina which also offers seasonal boat rides. For more information, contact the Utah Division of Parks & Recreation.
