About the Farm

Originally purchased in 1994 as a farmhouse with 160 acres of property, the Mona farm and distillery now occupies 1,700 acres and the visitor center is located where the farmhouse once stood. Just a short drive from the Young Living Global Headquarters in Lehi, Utah, botanicals sourced from the Mona farm include lavender, clary sage, goldenrod, Melissa, juniper and blue yarrow.

In addition to production, the farm and distillery is also a research facility and home to one of the world’s largest data-focused libraries on aromatic plant production.

The giant goldenrod species on the farm is recognized by ecologists for attracting large numbers of native bees.

One acre of lavender produces up to 5 liters of oil, which is a ratio of approximately 18 plants for every 15 ml bottle of oil.
