Heber Valley, Railroad, Heber Creeper, Utah

Heber Valley Railroad

The Heber Valley Railroad began in 1899 when pioneers first settled the surrounding valley. Today, vintage and restored coaches travel through the beautiful Heber Valley alongside the Provo River.

Family & Kids Travel

Although Utah is well-known for its world-class skiing and other-worldly National Parks, we're also home to a variety of family fun activities in the form of roller coaster rides and waterslides at Lagoon Amusement Park, on of the largest in the West. If it's blazing hot outside and the family wants some cool thrills, check out Seven Peaks Water Parks in either Provo or Salt Lake City, home to a variety of round and curvy or super steep waterslides, a half-million gallon wave pool, kiddie pools, and more. In the summer, the ski resorts turn some of their world famous ski slopes into a place for warmer weather thrills in the form of zip lines, alpine slides, Euro-bungy, horseback riding, and ATV tours. Then there's multi-level laser tag complete with music and fog at Laser Quest. If you and yours would like to enjoy a train ride through one of the most picturesque areas of the state, check out the Heber Creeper, an old-fashioned replica steam locomotive than runs from the Heber Valley down through Provo Canyon in the shadows of the iconic Mount Timpanogos!

Utah is the perfect place for the family! Come play in Utah's natural playground of state and national parks, mountain resorts, whitewater rivers, fishing lakes and streams, and the coolest rock formations on the planet. Or if your youthful interests lie beyond Utah's earthen adventures, explore dinosaur museums, amusement and water parks, zoos, and resorts. Utah is all about kids - and the adults with them.
