Borderline is centered around the ways that we perceive boundaries between public and private worlds. This exhibition features the work of three artists working in different mediums. Painter Chuck Landvatter’s portraits expose a private glimpse of everyday people. He combines his background in the schools of tradition and low-brow aerosol to form his unique painting style. Megan Mitchell makes ceramic objects based on forms from architecture and furniture. The imagery on the pieces references both landscapes and domestic spaces, serving as a metaphor for the interactions and boundaries between inner and outer worlds. Joe Strickland uses photography to explore the unappreciated beauty of seemingly mundane private spaces. By giving a renewed vision of the true aesthetics of space, the viewer is able to recognize that which is so often overlooked.

An artists reception will be held on December 6, 6-9 pm for Gallery Stroll
