Ty Burrell Love Letter Stirs Up the Love in Salt Lake

Undergoing an exciting cultural Renaissance, Salt Lake City is standing on the precipice of some serious popularity. Look no further for proof than Ty Burrell's recent Love Letter to Salt Lake City. We happen to agree with Ty. We also love Salt Lake. (Hopefully that won't make this awkward.)

With so much attention, it's a good thing we're not shy. Since being elevated into a global spotlight with the 2002 Winter Olympics, Salt Lake City has been confidently going about its business, keeping things tidy and welcoming for our visitors.

Quality of Life

Incredible outdoor recreation exists literally in our backyard, with access to extensive trails, mountain biking, cycling, climbing and vast stretches of national forest and designated Wilderness Areas whose trail heads can be found just minutes from home. Great neighborhoods abut a clean and vibrant downtown where business has never been better and employment figures are among the best in the nation.

Dining and Nightlife

Downtown's blossoming nightlife is headlined by a number of dedicated local breweries and distinctive farm-to-table restaurants.

A cocktail revival spurred by Ty Burrell and his team means you not only can get a drink in Salt Lake, you can get a really great drink.

Music, Theater and Dance

As the biggest city in the Intermountain West, Salt Lake is an important stop for national acts on tour and nurtures a prominent local music scene.

Few cities of comparable size can boast a professional symphony, opera, ballet and multiple theater companies, and several summer outdoor concert series serve up a wide array of open air entertainment.

It's all part of a little love letter from Salt Lake, to you.

Still not convinced? Here's a few dozen more reasons from a bunch of thought leaders why Salt Lake is totally crackerjack.
