Most rental agencies have a minimum age requirement of 25 years old, although some will hire cars to under 25s for a surcharge. When hiring a vehicle you will need to present a valid driver’s license from your home country, or a valid international driving permit (IDP).
If you plan any off-road or backroad adventures, a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. You should also check your hire agreement before venturing onto a gravel or unpaved road.
