Downtown Mount Pleasant Utah

Downtown Mount Pleasant

The historical buildings in this town haven't changed much since the 1800s. Beautiful woodwork and intricate architectural details show the heritage and historical roots of the past.

Mt. Pleasant, Utah

The railroad came to Mt. Pleasant in 1890 and along with it came prosperity. Commercial structures along Main Street reflect those good times.  Most of the buildings have been preserved to reflect that era. The town is home to Wasatch Academy, a private school founded in 1875 that still attracts students from around the world. Mt. Pleasant even boasts its own winery, which offers wine and cheese tasting every Saturday. The town is a short drive from both the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache and Manti-LaSal National Forests.

Fairview
The town is home to the Fairview Museum of History and Art, which is filled with artifacts, pictures, and artwork of the region. Part of the museum is the Natural History Building, which houses a full-scale replica of Columbian mammoth, unearthed in the nearby Manti La-Sal Mountain Range in 1988.

Spring City
Listed on the National Historic Register, most of the buildings on Main Street are restored pioneer homes and buildings. Nestled at the foot of the Horseshoe Mountains, Spring City is a haven for artists and artisans. The LDS Tabernacle in the Gothic Revival/Romanesque style was built between 1898 and 1914.
