Leave room in your suitcase to do some shopping while you visit Utah. Utah has every kind of shopping experience available, from malls to antique and handmade craft stores. In Salt Lake City, Utah's newest shopping experience is City Creek Center. Encompassing two entire city blocks, this is the retail centerpiece of one of the nation's largest mixed-use downtown redevelopments. Featuring 90 stores as well as restaurants, City Creek has a stunning outdoor design with a retractable ceiling for inclement weather, spectacular fountains and a naturalized creek that runs through the galleria.

The Gateway is an "open-air contemporary destination" that delivers shopping, dining, and entertainment. The newly-remodeled Trolley Square housed trolleys and electric trains a century ago, but today shoppers can enjoy dozens of boutique shops and restaurants, as well as the state's flagship Whole Foods.

Utah's largest shopping mall is South Towne Center in Sandy, featuring 150 stores and restaurants and an indoor carousel. Malls can also be found in Ogden, Layton, Logan, Murray, Orem, Provo, and St. George. Outdoor enthusiasts will marvel at the variety of sporting goods stores, such as Cabela's just off of I-15 in Lehi.
