Utah has a year-round fishing season. Utah has over 1,000 fishable lakes and numerous fishing streams. Species range from the popular rainbow and cutthroat trout to large mackinaw and brown trout, striped bass, walleye, bluegill, whitefish, the Bonneville cisco and other species.

Utah's pristine fly-fishing streams continue to be discovered by anglers from around the globe. Many celebrities have been known to enjoy fishing Utah's waters. The Provo and Green rivers are two of Utah's blue-ribbon rivers.
