The Bees games promise classic baseball and family fun with majestic views of the Wasatch Mountains from directly behind center field.

Utah Spectator Sports & Universities

Utah is truly the "State of Sport." Sports enthusiasts will find ample opportunities to enjoy the thrill of "taking in a game" and getting immersed in Utah's fanatical sport and outdoor culture. The flagship franchise of pro sports in Utah is the NBA's Utah Jazz, who hold court every season at the EnergySolutions Arena in downtown Salt Lake. Another major-league team is the 2009 Major League Soccer Cup champion Real Salt Lake, who mix it up at the Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy.

Ice hockey fans enjoy watching the line changes and power plays of the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies, who play at West Valley's Maverik Center. When it comes to our national pastime, Utah has several teams. Salt Lake is home to the AAA Salt Lake Bees, as well as two other minor league baseball teams: the Orem Owlz, and the Ogden Raptors.

Utah is home to a variety of internationally recognized competitions throughout the year. The Tour of Utah "American's Toughest Stage Race" is an officially sanctioned, multistage bicycle race that extends seven days and traverses some of the nation's most breathtaking and diverse terrain. Best of all, the Tour of Utah is free to attend. The beautiful Heber Valley's Soldier Hollow (site of the biathlon and cross-country skiing events for the 2002 Olympics) hosts the world's premier annual sheepdog championship on Labor Day weekend.
