Fall Equinox Observation

Fall Equinox Observation held 6:00pm at the Parowan Gap Petroglyphs (National Register of Historic Sites) and includes a presentation of the ancient Native American solar calendar and observation of the fall equinox sunset.

Directions: Parowan Gap located 12 miles north west of Parowan - from Parowan travel west on 400 North, go under the freeway overpass and stay on the main road that winds west then north to the mountains.  Travel through the mountain pass to the other side to the turnout and kiosk.  From Cedar City, get off at the north Cedar City/Enoch exit 62 and travel north past the Bowling Alley on US Hwy. 130 to Minersville.  At 19.2 miles on the east side will be the turnoff road to Parowan Gap and Parowan.  In 2 miles you will be at the Gap opening with the turnout and kiosk just inside
