Utah Arts Festival, Salt Lake City, Public Library, Utah

Utah Arts Festival

Created in 1977, this four-day outdoor event takes place each June in downtown Salt Lake City and features visual artists, performing groups, and culinary artists.

Performing Arts & Festivals

Utah is a "state of the arts." Utahns have always placed a high priority on all forms of artist expression. From the highly-acclaimed Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre in Logan, to the Utah Symphony | Opera, Ballet West, and other unique performances, festivals and performing arts events take place throughout the year. Cultural celebrations, in cities large and small, showcase visual art collections from the representational to the abstract. Utah writers, whose stories celebrate the landscape and lore of Utah, receive national acclaim for their work.

Utah's many cultural events and festivals can be a great way to have a good time and get to know Utah's unique culture. Throughout the year, there are annual events and festivals for just about everyone. Heritage, Native American Culture, Railroad History, Agriculture, Arts, Music, Outdoor Recreation -- these are just some of the interests that are celebrated through Utah's annual events and festivals.

The summer means arts festivals are popping up around the state. Salt Lake City has a robust schedule of arts-related events including the annual Utah Arts Festival, which finds artists from all over the planet converging on the state's capital to show their wares. The Kimball Arts Festival in Park City is a summer staple of the mountain town's summer season.

Utah celebrates the arts all year long. The Utah Shakespeare Festival, in Cedar City, is world-renowned. For 50+ seasons, the ever-expanding festival now encompasses one and a half city blocks, and is committed to providing its patrons with a "total experience." A trip down to Moab for its legendary mountain bike riding could be complemented by the annual Moab Music Festival.

From the Days of '47 to the Sundance Film Festival, our annual events truly represent the diversity of cultures, and unique history, of Utah.
