The dramatically steep Wellsville Mountains in Cache Valley set the stage for the American West Heritage Center, which showcases Old West living in the area, from the era of fur trade and exploration through early twentieth century homesteading. October is the Fall Harvest, and a prime month for northern Utah residents and visitors to get out and play.

  • Fall Festival Days and Corn Maze Through Oct 31.
Take a walk through the seven-acre corn maze, Kids maze, Giant Hay jump, Spider web rope climb, Gourd launcher, Giant slide, Tomahawk throwing, BB gun range, pony rides, train rides.
Trick or Treat for the little ones
  • Haunted Hollow, October Weekends.
Enter the river hollow and you may see Old Ephraim, La Plata, and Butch Cassidy's Hole in the Wall Gang. If you dare.
Curiosity piqued? Self-guided tours are available throughout the year, but watch the Heritage Center calendar for dates and information on next year's pioneer treks to mountain man encampments, panning for gold and everyone's favorite, baby animal snuggling.
