Utah's Olympic legacy is one more reason why Utahns live Life Elevated®

With the outdoor Gallivan Center Ice Rink just opening in downtown Salt Lake City, we're getting even more excited about the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

If you haven't hit the ice yet, get inspired this weekend by catching some of the world's top speed skaters in action at the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns.

The Olympic Oval is now headquarters for U.S. Speed Skating and is playing host to the Essent ISU World Cup Speed Skating competition for both ladies and men, and for all distances.

With the Olympics in their sights, skaters will be at their peak performance, possibly even challenging the world records still held at the facility. The Oval's eight world records and 10 Olympic records have helped the facility earn the nickname "Fastest Ice on Earth."

Join the Olympic Legacy Foundation this weekend to show your Olympic spirit and experience world-class competition for as little as $5 per adult, or $10 for a family of four. VIP tickets are also available for $50, which include hospitality accommodations.

In the coming weeks, watch for more events on the Road to Sochi, including bobsled, luge and ski jumping.

And, of course, for outdoor winter fun perfectly tuned to you and your family's skill level, visit our Ski and Snow Sports page for a list of our 14 ski resorts and a snapshot of other adventures throughout the state.
